ALMOND SOFT PRETZELS

Everybody loves pretzel; especially, the one from the Auntie Anne's hand-rolled soft pretzels. Whenever I am in the mall with my nieces or nephews, they always wanted to buy some. After showing my niece how to make pigs in the blanket last month, my nephew asked if I know how to make soft pretzels? Honestly, I never make them before. However, I did copy down a recipe by Chi. BƯỞI from tudo forum. I keep telling myself that one of these days, I will make it. And today is the day :-)

These soft pretzels are so delicious. My hubby already tasted it and he loved them.

After the dough sit for one to two hours, it looks like this.

Cut the dough into 12 portions.

Here is a closer look at each portion.

Roll each of them into a bread stick and shape them like a pretzel. See below.

After you put one end of your long stick dough into the middle, do the same thing for the other end. Then it will look like the pretzel shape. Easy huh?

Here are some of them that are ready to be boiled.

Let the pretzels boil for 1 minute 10 seconds, then flip them over with the slotted spoon and boil on the other side for 1 minute and 10 seconds.

Fish them out of the water, let them drip off and place them on the greased cookie sheet.

Sprinkle them with almond or walnut. I ran out of almond so I used walnut instead. Don't forget to mix the nuts with sugar.

Bake them between 12-15 minutes in 400 degree F oven. And check out the finished product. Yummy!
